Cameron High School and Cameron Elementary School have teamed up for past 11 years to provide Christmas gifts and food for children in Marshall County during the holiday season.

The Caring Tree Program, organized by CHS Counselor Kelly Pettit, has had to branch out farther into the community this year than in previous years. On Tuesday more than 180 young Dragons, birth to 18 years old, received personalized gifts through the program and approximately 50 boxes of food were distributed to families in the Cameron area.

Children were sponsored by area businesses and several community organizations as well as Cameron High School students, clubs and homerooms. The Marshall County FRN and Williams teamed up to provide food while the Marshall County FRN also furnished holiday bags for teens filled with personal hygiene products.
