Kelly Pettit

Kelly Pettit, a dedicated school counselor at Cameron High School and Immediate Past President of the Alpha Delta Kappa (ADK) Lambda Chapter in Marshall County, has been named the 2026 West Virginia recipient of the Alpha Delta Kappa Excellence in Education Award.

Nominated by her peers in the Marshall County Lambda Chapter, Pettit was selected from a statewide pool of educators representing 25 chapters with 627 members. Alpha Delta Kappa is an international honorary organization for women educators, celebrating professional excellence and educational altruism. The announcement was made during the ADK State Convention held this past weekend at Pipestem State Park.

With this state-level honor, Pettit is set to represent West Virginia at the ADK Southeast Regional Conference in Nashville, Tennessee this July. She will compete against award recipients from North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky and Maryland.
